Wow... school began yesterday. I now have a 2nd grader and a Kindergartener! How did I become the mom that has "big kids"? I am very involved with a local MOPS group and have been a member since my oldest was about 6 months old. We had a "Back to MOPS" Picnic the other day to get our new Fall program going... I saw the looks on some of the moms faces as some of us "other moms" unloaded our big school age boys. They quietly moved in closer to their much smaller 2 year olds and protected them like a mother hen. I remember feeling this way. Looking at those GIANT school agers and thinking they were secretly plotting to attack my 2 year old BABY! Now I am that mom... I have one of those school age monsters riding around in the back of my mini van. If you look really closely he still has that cute baby face... and he just told me last night that he will never love anyone more than me. I am going to hold onto that for awhile.

Can my Girl be 5 already?

I can still remember going to the ultrasound and the tech saying to us... "Wanna know what it is?"... of course I said... YES! She looked and she looked again and said to us... "Looks like a girl to me ... yep a girl those are girl parts." I was in total shock! When Makenna was born I still stared at her little pink SCREAMING body and thought "OH MY GOODNESS... we have a girl!" I never ever thought I would have a girl... always pictured myself with boys. I am so thankful that God picked this girl to be ours for now. She is a blessing beyond measure... a constant joy and love! Happy Birthday Makenna... did you know your name means precious gift? Well ... you are! love you sweet girl!

My oldest...

A while back I posted a few great pictures a friend of mine took of my younger two kiddos. That same friend met again and took some of Wyatt. My almost 7 year old is literally growing up before my eyes. He has two extremely loose teeth (hasn't lost a one yet), he loves learning and playing on the Wii, is playing basketball once a week, still loves movies and is very loving. He is so handsome. Most of all is learning kindness... his heart is always in it but passion sometimes overtakes the moment. The name Wyatt means "little warrior"... not sure how this will play out in the long run but I pray for a strong guy that can be very supportive to those around him. Do I really have an almost 7 year old? I love you Wyatt.
